John Montagna: Photos
Japan 2006
- Busy intersection in the Roppongi district, 3am-ish.

- Steve Murphy & I jamming at Tokyo's "Cavern Club" with the Silver Beats. Dig bassist Tadd Arkee's fireglo Rickenbacker (strung w/flatwounds)!

- Taxis lined up along the main street in Roppongi.

- Intersection in the Akihabara district, where the electronics stores are. I saw technology here that we won't see in the US for at least five years!

- Taxi ride to Akihabara; note driver's immaculate wardrobe of suit and white gloves, plus the VERY advanced navigation system.

- Tokyo Fish Market, approx. 6:30am.

- Block of tuna being cut up at the Tokyo Fish Market. These men are serious about their work.

- Sushi for breakfast at the Tokyo Fish Market; the best I've ever eaten. This restaurant was not much bigger than what you see in the photo; behind me was the window to the street, and behind the gentleman to my right was the wall.

- Outside at the fish market, just after sunrise.

- "No, no...I said we need guitar TUNERS..."

- Our new friends, the Silver Beats! DOMO ORIGATO, lads!
